March 31st 2008 An Appeal You know how we all complain about terrible situations and then having produced a lot of hot air go on to something else? Well, I have come across an organisation called Pro Galgo - go and have a look at www.dogs-in-spain.com and then pro galgo - they are the same people. The girl running it is called Mo Swatek and used to be a tour manager for top orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra. She was working with the top soloists when she read about what happens to the galgos (spanish greyhounds) and podencos (Ibizan hounds) in Spain and gave it all up and with her Spanish husband moved back to Spain from Switzerland to help the dogs and publicize their plight. Amazing and humbling. They have spent all their money on the dogs and need every penny as they owe money for vets' bills, so if there are any of you feeling rich or generous, go to progalgoenglish.wordpress.com.
